Following on from our previous articles about the sponsorships of our local sports teams, we wanted to give you an update on all of the latest news and the teams’ progress.
Pure Staff is very proud to be sponsoring three local teams; the Wrens Nest U9 Girls Team, Handsworth 2XV Rugby Team and Frank Bell-Reynolds, and the Boldmere Falcons U11 Football Team.
In this update, we’ll be sharing some of the highlights from the past month, as well as some of the upcoming events that we’re looking forward to.
Wrens Nest Under 9’s – Off To A Very Positive Start!
The Wrens Nest U9 team is off to a great start this season! They’ve drawn one game, won the second game, and drew their third game. This season, the team will start moving up to 7-a-side from 5-a-side. The girls are playing fantastically, and we can’t wait to see how they progress throughout the season! Keep up the good work, girls!
Handsworth 2XV & Frank Bell-Reynolds
After getting promoted last year, the Handsworth 2XV rugby team played three games in the league so far, currently with 1 win and 2 losses. The first loss was very unlucky as they were playing with 14 players and they lost in the last minute of the game against their local rivals, Walsall. Their win came against top-of-the-league Shrewsbury 2S.
Frank Bell-Reynolds is currently the joint-top try scorer with 3 tries in 4 games.
In addition, their sponsored kit arrived in time before their home game on Saturday 12th November against Trentham 2S. This was their first game in the sponsored kit!
Boldmere Falcons U11 – Fantastic Progress So Far!
The Boldmere Falcons U11 were off to a brilliant start this season, having played five games so far and winning three! Although the U11 drew one game and narrowly lost another, they scored 21 goals and only conceded 3.
The team continues with a home game against Cadbury Athletic Juniors U11 Colts who will be a tough opposition as they have played four games and won four.
