EDI & ESG at Pure Staff

Pure Staff is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in all aspects of our operations. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace is essential for our success and for creating a positive impact on our employees, clients, and the communities we serve. We believe our approach and embracing EDI provides the best service and opportunities to our employees, temporary workers, suppliers and clients.

At Pure Staff, we ensure that all our recruitment practices are fair, unbiased, and inclusive. We are dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Compliance and Standards:

Our certifications with the Recruitment Employment Confederation (REC), Association of Labour Providers (ALP), ISO:9001, UKAS, EcoVadis and Sedex indicate regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations, including those related to ethical labour practices.

Our GLAA license further demonstrates our commitment to protecting our supply chain from the scourge that is Modern Slavery, Forced Labour, and Human Trafficking – aligning with EDI principles of fairness and equity, preventing any form of discrimination or human rights abuses.

Ethical Recruitment & Recruiter Training:

Pure Staff adhere to the highest standards of ethical recruitment and worker protection. Our compliance with these standards ensures that we treat all individuals legally and fairly, preventing any form of discrimination or human rights abuses.

Our recruiters are trained (and re-trained) on ethical recruitment standards and legislative compliance, including DEI, Sexual Harassment, Modern Slavery and the principles of fair recruitment. This shows our commitment to equal opportunities regardless of race, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.

Continuous Improvement & Monitoring

To support our commitment to Equal Opportunities, Diversity, and Inclusion, Pure Staff invites candidates to complete a voluntary and anonymous DEI questionnaire after a job offer is made. The survey collects general demographic data, with no personal identifiers, and helps us monitor workforce diversity, meet client and industry standards, and identify any training needs to ensure fairness in our recruitment services.

At Pure Staff, our commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles is continually reviewed. Our core values guide us as we grow our business responsibly, act ethically, and want to contribute to a better future for all.

Environmental Responsibility

We understand the importance of protecting our planet and are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact across all areas of our business. By improving efficiency, minimising waste, and embracing technological innovation, we aim to operate more sustainably and support a healthier planet for generations to come.

Social Impact

We place people at the heart of our business. Our employees, clients, temporary workers, and the communities we serve. We are proud to promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and equal opportunity in the workplace. Our own Charity Foundation provides support for local and national causes on an ongoing basis, and we encourage staff to give back by offering two paid volunteering days each year, together with helping promote, support and participate in various fundraising events each year.

Governance and Ethics

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity and transparency. As an ISO 9001 accredited organisation, our governance framework promotes fairness, ethical behaviour, and accountability in every aspect of our operations. We believe trust is earned through consistent, responsible decision-making. Not only are we audited externally, but we self-audit each week to ensure our Quality Management System’s are effective and relevant.

Commitment to Continuous Improvement

ESG isn’t a box-ticking exercise for us, it’s a journey. Our dedicated Compliance, Quality and Assurance team ensures we’re always moving forward, maintaining a robust framework of policies and procedures. We regularly assess our performance, listen to stakeholders, and adapt our approach to meet new challenges.

We believe that lasting change happens through collaboration. That’s why we work closely with partners, peers, and industry bodies to champion responsible recruitment and sustainable business practices. We’re proud members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), and the Association of Labour Providers.

Sustainability is not just part of our strategy, it shapes our future. We’re focused on creating long-term value for all stakeholders by running our business in a way that supports a more inclusive and sustainable world.

Corporate Social Responsibility is more than a policy at Pure Staff. CSR is a fundamental part of who we are as a business. Our company vision is “To be a recognised national supplier of recruitment services whilst giving back to the communities in which we operate.” We are committed to making a meaningful difference through responsible business practices and community engagement which is why we opened our very own dedicated Charity Foundation in  June 2022 and have publicly donated each month since. All donations are published on our website’s charity page.

  • Exceed, where possible, all applicable legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Minimise our environmental impact while maximising the positive effects of our work.
  • Continuously improve by learning, evolving, and implementing better CSR practices every year.

We’re dedicated to fair treatment and equal opportunities for everyone. We provide annual Modern Slavery training (and re-training) to equip our recruitment team with the knowledge needed to spot and stop exploitation, discrimination and unfairness. Temporary workers are paid correctly and on time, and we invest in continual training and development for our staff to help them grow and thrive.

We know our success is closely linked to the communities we serve. Our Charity Foundation actively supports local causes, national charities, and community initiatives. Our paid Volunteer Days enable staff to give back directly. Over the years, we’ve forged long-lasting relationships with clients, workers, and local organisations. All of our activities, fund raising efforts and donations are there for all to see on our dedicated Charity Foundation webpage.

From paperless polices to rolling out electric vehicles in our company fleet, we’re taking real steps to reduce our environmental footprint. We also promote eco-conscious behaviour among our teams and make sustainable choices throughout our branch network.

CSR is embedded in our decision-making. We’re proud to be a responsible business, one that balances sustainable growth with a deep commitment to social and environmental well-being. As the world evolves, so do we, by continuously improving to meet new challenges and create lasting positive impact. Our accreditations with organisations such as Sedex and EcoVadis help keep us accountable in respect of the CSR commitments we make.
