In July, Pure Staff proudly donated £1,500 to RSVP to support this excellent cause and the crucial services they provide.
We believe it’s vital to contribute to our local community and support those facing challenging times. We understand that actions speak louder than words, and we hope that this donation will provide some relief and assist RSVP in continuing their valuable work.
Founded in 1978, The Rape & Sexual Violence Project (RSVP) has been at the forefront of providing crucial support services to those affected by sexual violence and abuse. With its roots firmly in Birmingham, England, the organisation has grown into a nationally recognised charity, extending its reach to help individuals across the UK.
Over four decades, RSVP’s mission has remained unwavering – to provide empathetic, confidential, and specialist services to children and adults who have been affected by sexual violence and abuse at any point in their lives.
RSVP offers a variety of services, including, but not limited to, advocacy, counselling, and helpline services. They strive to empower survivors by promoting their rights and ensuring their voices are heard.
Their helpline service is staffed by trained volunteers offering a compassionate ear and advice to those in immediate need. Confidential and professional counselling services provide a safe space for survivors to process and navigate their emotions.
For July’s donation, Pure Staff wanted to help RSVP continue its vital work in providing resources and assistance to those who need it most. This contribution will go towards bolstering the free services that RSVP offers, such as counselling, advocacy and other forms of direct support.
This donation underlines the social responsibility ethos at the heart of Pure Staff and serves as a call to action for other organisations to support such valuable causes. It is an exemplification of the positive impact that businesses can have when they use their resources for the greater good. Ultimately, Pure Staff’s donation is more than a financial contribution – it’s a beacon of hope for those who lean on the crucial services provided by RSVP.
If you would like to support RSVP and the work they do, there is a wide variety of ways to do so.
One of the easiest ways to support RSVP is by making a donation. These funds go directly towards providing counselling, advocacy, and other support services. Donations can be made directly through the RSVP website, and no amount is too small.
Fundraising is another excellent way to raise money for RSVP. This could involve organising a charity run, a bake sale, or even a larger event like a benefit concert or art auction. Crowd-funding platforms are also an effective way to raise money, and can reach a large audience of potential donors.
Finally, if you have some time to spare, RSVP relies on the help of volunteers to deliver their services. Volunteering opportunities can range from providing support on their helpline, assisting in the organisation of fundraising events, or lending your professional skills to the charity.
Your involvement, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference in the lives of those affected by sexual violence and abuse.
