Pure Staff are delighted to have donated £1,500 to Deafblind UK in order to support their wonderful work.
The donation from Pure Staff will go towards helping Deafblind UK continue the invaluable work they do throughout the country. They will use these funds to provide more services for those affected by deaf-blindness, ensuring that no one is left without help or support.
About Deafblind UK
Founded in 1982, Deafblind UK helps those living with a combined vision and hearing loss develop confidence and independence, through a range of residential and social opportunities. The charity also provides comfort, understanding and practical advice for people with dual sensory impairment.
They offer residential services, enabling people to live independently with support from their dedicated team of professionals. For those living in care facilities, the charity also provides additional assistance, including financial guidance, social opportunities and advocacy. They also have specially trained volunteers that can act as mentors and friends for those who are newly diagnosed or struggling with their condition.
For family members and carers, the charity can advise on how best to look after someone who is deafblind, from understanding communication needs to managing daily living tasks. They also have a range of resources to support families and carers, including access to specialist advice and practical tips.
Supporting Deafblind UK
“We are so proud to be able to support Deafblind UK this year,” said Managing Director, Dave Whitehouse. “The work they do is absolutely incredible, and we were delighted to have been able to provide this donation. We hope that these funds will help Deafblind UK continue their inspiring work and ultimately improve the lives of those living with deafblindness in our society.”
Pure Staff Foundation has been helping charitable causes and it’s something we are very passionate about. We strive to make a difference in both our local community and beyond, so when we heard about the fantastic work being done by Deafblind UK, it was an opportunity for us to give back which we jumped at.
If you would like to support Deafblind UK and the work they do in helping people with dual sensory impairment, there are a number of ways that you can get involved.
Donating money is one of the simplest ways to make a difference. You can set up a regular donation through their website or choose to give a one-off payment. Any amount helps, no matter how small.
You could also participate in one of Deafblind UK’s fundraising events, such as sponsored runs or walks, baking challenges, sponsored silence and more. This not only helps raise funds but also brings awareness to the charity and its mission.
Finally, if you have some time to spare, then why not volunteer with Deafblind UK? They have a range of opportunities available, ranging from working in the office to providing hands-on support in people’s homes. This is a great way to make a tangible difference as you directly help people who are deafblind or have dual sensory impairments.
No matter which option you choose, your contribution will be greatly appreciated and really help to make a difference in people’s lives.
