We are incredibly proud to announce our August charity donation, which is dedicated to The Donkeys, a wonderful not-for-profit organisation in Balsall Common. This donation is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community and supporting causes that make a real difference.
Following our previous donation last year, which helped support facility enhancements, we are excited to continue our partnership with The Donkeys. This latest contribution is to assist with their ongoing living improvements for the donkeys, building on the success of projects like the hut extension.
About The Donkeys
The Donkeys’ mission is to enhance the welfare of miniature donkeys and use their gentle, therapeutic nature to bring joy and learning to people. They are a non-profit organisation, with all funds raised going directly towards the well-being of their animals and the improvement of their living environments.
Based in Balsall Common, The Donkeys provides unique, interactive experiences for small groups. Visitors can walk, groom, and simply spend quality time with these amazing animals. The team is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about their work and the donkeys they care for.
Beyond their home base, The Donkeys also takes their donkeys on special visits to schools, community groups, and care homes. These off-site visits are particularly impactful, providing therapeutic and educational benefits to those who may not be able to visit the farm. We were especially moved to learn about their compassionate work, including attending a funeral for a local lady who loved donkeys, a testament to the strong bonds they form with the community.
