The Role
* To ensure Health & Safety, Environmental and Legal Compliance procedures are followed.
* Operating a fleet of vehicles from 3 locations over 7 days and 7 nights per week.
* Sourcing additional loads from third parties.
* Managing the activities and resources to achieve financial, operational and customer service objectives.
* To ensure equipment is operational and relevant checks are carried out and maintained, addressing any issues where necessary.
* Planning of loads, allocation of drivers and quoting for work.

Requirements
* Customer focused.
* Compliance and Tachograph knowledge.
* Proven experience within a fast-paced logistics environment
* Ability to communicate at all levels.
* Proactive decision maker and an organised/effective planner.
* Ability to effectively handle conflict situations
* Be able to build a network of allies and subcontractors
* Have a can-do attitude
* Be able to be remain calm when working under pressure
* PC and TMS systems literate
* Own transport required owing to location.
