Internal Sales & Account Support Permanent Bodmin, Cornwall £25000 - £30000 per annum

Through the decades our client have built a strong international supply base and nurtured trusting relationships with their customers ranging from small wholesalers to major household retailers throughout the UK and worldwide markets.

Due to continued growth they are now looking to appoint an Internal Sales & Account Support Executive.

This role would suit someone who has worked within consumable goods (food/drink) in a sales capacity OR someone with a background in the hospitality industry (Restaurant Supervisor/Manager or Chef/Sous Chef) This role also welcomes candidates who are within Procurement.

Overview:

  • Grow and manage existing accounts, identifying risk and opportunities within.
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customer’s individual needs
  • Daily accounts admin to ensure complete customer confidence
  • Proactive approach to generation of new business using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Internal communication to ensure customer requirements met and orders fulfilled
  • NPD support
  • Support internal retail team, including adding orders to system, management of retail inbox, forecast monitoring, and liaising with hauliers as needed
  • Support for accounts teams and retail management of aged debt for retail accounts
  • Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
  • Maximise sales through educating customers on the company brand and portfolio
  • Provide support with customer visits and events

Duties:

  • To support and develop customer relationships in order to maintain sales and elevate growth.
  • Provide input into the Sales and Operational Planning process to ensure service levels are met through effective forecasting and demand planning.
  • To support with identifying profitable new business with existing customers.
  • Support to develop annual key accounts where necessary.
  • Promote and support new product launches.
  • To support Retail Director with delivering an outstanding understanding of your customer expectations, ensure this is verbally communicated to the business and their expectations are met.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the competitive market and customer strategies to identify future sales opportunities.

The above represents a non-exhaustive list for this role. Due to the nature of the business the role is subject to change. The basic hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours but it is expected that such hours/days be worked as necessary to complete the above.
