An exciting one-off opportunity has arisen for a Demand Planner to join an established fresh produce business that have been operating since the early 1970’s based in Kent supporting the key grocery and multiples accounts.
The Role:
* Ensuring daily order fulfilment is met and any failures communicated in a timely
manner
* The Production Planner ensures all daily KPI’s are met
* Ensure maximum utilisation of fruit within Production
* Keeping planning errors to a minimum
* Coordinate production work flow for one or multiple products
* Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
* Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
* Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
* The Production Planner will schedule shift according to production needs
* Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
* Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
* Prepare and submit status and performance reports
* Manage key stakeholders across the business
* Managing manpower planning numbers
Attributes:
* Proven experience as Production Planner
* Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
* Experience in manufacturing resource planning
* Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
* Good at math and statistics
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication abilities
