Duties:
- To ensure the highest conformance at all times, with all Legal, Customer manufacturing and grower audit requirements associated with Packhouse, field operations, workers and site accommodation. Achieve Tesco TPPS blue score and maintain it. Achieve Green scores with all other customers and all growers. Establish a sufficient and effective monitoring system for all products and areas to mitigate food safety and ethical risks to the business and its customers.
- To be a role model of best practice and performance for the rest of the technical department and a key support figure for the Group Technical Director & Group Business Development Manager.
- To design, communicate and implement technical policies and procedures where necessary to assist other teams in achieving due diligence compliance.
- Work closely with all departments and all parts of our supply chain(s), including suppliers and growers to support and deliver Better, Simpler, Cheaper (BSC) outcomes that benefit our global business and all our customers.
- To maintain HACCP, BRC and Tesco Nurture Database. Ensure supplier due diligence files are kept up to date and auditable.
- To ensure the ETI base code is adhered to at all times and maintained and SEDEX is kept updated.
- Accurate KPI Documentation is produced in full and to deadlines.
Attributes:
- HACCP qualification Level 2 Food Safety Fluent in spoken and written English.
- In depth understanding of QMS and ‘typical’ compliance requirements for packing of food. Working knowledge of Tesco PIU Produce requirements.
- Understanding of customer specification systems Working knowledge of customer complaints databases. Experience working in fresh produce.
- People Management experience.
- Preferable working knowledge of Tesco Technical Library
