Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Day Tramper Driver to join a well-established retail distribution operation in the Warrington area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Day Tramper Driver looking for consistent work, flexible start times and the opportunity to secure permanent employment.

Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
- £17.06 per hour PAYE
- £19.12 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay
Saturday
- £22.00 per hour PAYE
- £24.66 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay
Sunday / Bank Holidays
- £23.00 per hour PAYE
- £25.78 per hour including rolled-up holiday pay
Rolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional payment method for this vacancy.
About the Role
Working within the retail distribution industry, the successful Class 1 Day Tramper Driver will complete regional store deliveries, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently and on time while maintaining excellent service standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete between 1 and 3 deliveries per shift
- Deliver goods to retail stores across a designated region
- Unload cages at delivery locations
- Carry out handball duties where required
- Use electronic POD devices to accurately record deliveries
- Complete all delivery paperwork and documentation
- Conduct daily vehicle safety checks
- Adhere to all road transport legislation and company procedures
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday shifts available
- Tuesday to Saturday shifts available
- Additional Saturday shifts available when required
- Typical start times between 02:00 and 14:00
- Flexible start times available through rota planning
- Shift lengths typically between 10 and 12 hours
- Long-term ongoing work available
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours regulations
- Ability to complete POD and delivery paperwork accurately
- Comfortable with unloading cages and manual handling duties
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
- Good communication skills
