Counterbalance Forklift Driver
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our established ecommerce client based in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy warehouse and distribution environment, supporting the day-to-day operations of a growing ecommerce business.
The successful candidate will have previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift truck and be confident moving, loading and unloading stock safely and efficiently. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual who can work well as part of a team and help ensure the smooth running of warehouse operations.
Your Role
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, your duties will include:
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Moving stock and materials around the warehouse.
- Placing goods into designated storage locations.
- Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations.
- Assisting with the movement and organisation of stock.
- Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Carrying out daily visual safety checks on the forklift before use.
- Reporting any equipment faults, damage or safety concerns.
- Supporting general warehouse duties when required.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
- Working effectively as part of a busy warehouse team.
- Carrying out other warehouse duties as required.
Requirements
- A valid counterbalance forklift licence is required.
- Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift truck is essential.
- Confidence moving and handling stock safely.
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
- Ability to carry out basic forklift safety checks.
- Good attention to detail when handling goods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
- Good communication skills and a positive approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist with general warehouse duties when required.
Pay & Shifts
£14.00 per hour.
Shift: 10:00 – 16:00.
