CNC Machine Operative – Bromsgrove
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Operative to join our well-established client based in Bromsgrove. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist to join a busy engineering environment, working with Mazak milling CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components.
The successful candidate will have previous CNC 3 Axis machining experience, with Mazak milling CNC machine experience essential. Candidates must be confident setting and operating CNC machinery, reading engineering drawings and working to production targets and quality standards.
Your Role
As a CNC Machine Operative, your duties will include:
Setting and operating Mazak milling CNC machinery.
Producing precision components to customer requirements.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Selecting and changing tooling as required.
Setting work offsets and tool offsets.
Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
Measuring components using appropriate inspection equipment.
Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high standards of quality.
Making adjustments to machine settings to maintain component quality.
Identifying and reporting any machine, tooling or quality issues.
Working with a variety of materials and components.
Completing production paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
Working to production targets and customer deadlines.
Carrying out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
Following all company health and safety procedures.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working area.
Working effectively as part of a team.
Carrying out other engineering duties as required.
Requirements
Previous CNC machining experience is essential.
- 3 Axis Machine Experience
Previous Mazak milling CNC machine experience is essential.
Experience setting and operating CNC milling machinery.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working to tight tolerances.
Good understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling.
Competent using measuring and inspection equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work to production targets and deadlines.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Positive approach to work.
Previous experience working within a busy engineering/manufacturing environment.
Pay & Shifts
£18.00 – £21.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
20-minute paid break
30-minute unpaid lunch break
