Plastic Machine Operator
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Plastic Machine Operator to join our client on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machine operator looking to secure long-term work within a busy production environment.
The successful Plastic Machine Operator will be responsible for operating granulating machinery, handling raw materials, and supporting daily production activities. Previous machine operating experience is essential, with plastics industry experience being highly advantageous.
Your Role
As a Plastic Machine Operator, your duties will include:
- Feeding raw materials into the granulating machine
- Operating and monitoring machinery during production runs
- Weighing and bagging raw materials accurately
- Carrying out quality checks where required
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Operating a forklift truck when required
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous machine operating experience – essential
- Experience within the plastics industry desirable
- FLT licence desirable but not essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
Pay & Shifts
- £13.25 – £13.71 per hour (depending on experience)
- Monday – Friday
- 07:00 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 17:00
- Flexible start times available
Breaks:
- One 15-minute paid break
- One 30-minute unpaid break
