Parts Sales Advisor
Location: Derby
Salary: £12.76PH
Pure Staff are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading automotive businesses for a Parts Sales Advisor to join their busy team in Derby.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, identifying the correct replacement parts and working with technical catalogue systems. Whilst automotive parts experience is desirable, it is not essential.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with advisor experience in any of the following industries:
- Automotive Parts Advisor / Parts Sales Advisor roles
- Commercial Vehicle Parts
- Boiler & Heating Parts
- Engineering or Industrial Spare Parts
- Hydraulic or Pneumatic Parts
- Plant, Agricultural or Construction Machinery Parts
- Technical Internal Sales involving spare parts identification
- Trade Counter Parts Sales
What experience are we looking for?
The successful candidate will already be comfortable:
- Identifying the correct spare parts using electronic catalogues or parts lookup systems.
- Working with part numbers, exploded diagrams or technical catalogues.
- Advising customers over the telephone and by email.
- Processing parts orders accurately.
- Delivering excellent customer service in a technical parts environment.
- Managing multiple enquiries whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
If you’ve previously helped customers identify and order technical spare parts, your experience is likely to be highly transferable, even if you’ve never worked in the automotive industry.
Duties During The role:
- Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Identifying and supplying the correct replacement parts.
- Using manufacturer catalogue systems to locate components.
- Processing customer orders accurately.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure prompt fulfilment.
- Building strong relationships with both trade and retail customers.

- Experience working in a parts department or technical sales environment.
- Confidence using computer-based catalogue or inventory systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
