The principal function of this senior sales role is the acquisition and development of new business. This will be achieved through verbal and written engagement.
When the client is active you will also be responsible for nurturing and maximising the potential of the account.
Working alongside the Sales Manager the Sales Executive will:
– Consistently maintain a level of 75+ targeted new business calls per week.
– Build strong personal relationships with new and existing clients
– Negotiation with clients and suppliers.
– Submitting quotes, overcome objections and devise conversion strategies to win business.
– Talking clients through the customs formalities required to ship goods into and from the European Union.
– Account management and potentially client / prospect visiting.
– Attend and present in a weekly sales meeting
– Assist with Company marketing projects, for example LinkedIn posts, marketing literature, e-shots
Attributes:
1. Proven Business to Business (B2B) sales experience.
2. Sold products or services to markets outside the UK (would help but not essential)
3. A friendly, engaging telephone manner.
4. An energetic, enthusiastic personality.
5. Can work to deadlines.
6. Innovate and problem solve.
7. Strong negotiating skills.
8. Good attention to detail.
9. Ability to work with and support your colleagues.
