What You’ll Be Doing
- Building and developing strong relationships with European road freight clients, maximising business opportunities and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Managing supplier relationships to secure reliable, efficient, and cost-effective transport solutions across Europe.
- Preparing competitive freight quotations for both import and export shipments.
- Handling operational administration, including creating job files, processing bookings, and issuing confirmations to suppliers.
- Coordinating all necessary transport and customs documentation, including post-Brexit customs clearance requirements.
- Monitoring European road freight shipments from collection through to successful delivery, ensuring smooth operations at every stage.
- Managing invoicing and completing shipment files accurately and efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within European road freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of post-Brexit European customs procedures and clearance processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build long-term client and supplier relationships.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively and secure the best operational outcomes.
- Strong numerical skills with experience preparing accurate freight quotations.
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general freight/logistics systems.
