To work as part of the warehouse team, ensuring a safe, tidy, and efficient department and raw materials and finished goods are stored in the correct locations and delivered to the production area in line with the production schedule. To maintain accurate stock count of raw materials and finished goods
Shift pattern – 5am – 1pm. (37 ½ hours per week) – permanent role.
The Role:
- To lead by example and ensure you and the team are adhering to all Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements, policies and procedures at ALL times.
- Receive the raw materials and check quantities are correct. Reporting any issues to the warehouse team, or production supervisor.
- Use the raw materials from the correct storage location, for the process order allocated to you, checking the raw materials against the process order to ensure you have all the required raw materials. Report any issues to the warehouse team/production supervisor.
- To be aware and work to the production schedules as communicated to you .
- To act as the responsible person for any visitor who comes to the premises during any time when the management team is not present. This includes approaching unauthorised visitors providing this does not put safety at risk.
- To be responsible for calling / contacting management if there is any reason to do so when Management are not present.
- Responsible for ensuring the CCP’s are completed on the shift, recording the exact time each CCP is completed, ensuring corrective actions are carried out effectively if a CCP fails and reporting any such issues to Management.
- To check that the recipe sheets and labels supplied correlate in terms of batch number etc. Check the recipe to see if there are any obvious errors – report such to the management.
- To check all plant for obvious faults rendering it unsafe. Report any such faults immediately to the management.
- To check the functionality of Metal detectors, scales etc as detailed on production sheet. To record findings.
Skills:
- Must be literate and numerate.
- Proven ability to follow safety, quality and production standards, work under pressure and make confident decisions.
- Good communication skills, self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Must have Basic Food Hygiene and Manual Handling Training.
- FLT license essential
- Own transport (due to location)
