Production Operative Job Description –
- Working in a designated area on an assembly line.
- Using small precision hand tools such as files to shape the products to specification.
- Must be able to work towards targets.
- Full training is provided.
Hours of work for a Production Operative must be able to work either shift pattern:
- Days 06:00 – 13:50 Monday to Friday.
- Afternoons 14:10 – 22:00 Monday to Friday.
- There are two Twenty-minute breaks in the day, one is paid the other is unpaid, making a total working week of 37.5 hours.
Rate of pay for the Production Operative is:
- Day shifts are £10.42ph
- The afternoon shift is £10.42 plus a 20% shift allowance making the hourly rate £12.50.
- Any hours worked over the 37.5 is paid at 1.5x the day rate making the overtime rate £15.63ph.

– 28 days per annum annual leave (pro rata)
– Weekly pay and payslips view able through an online portal
– Pension auto-enrolment
Production Operative will be offered full-time employment after a successful trial period of a minimum of 12 weeks.
