As a Buying Manager you will be involved in sourcing world foods from different parts of the world. Part of your responsibility will be to deal and manage suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You:
- Will be required to perform strategic procurement across all spend categories, aiming to find better deals and improve profitability from suppliers.
- Your expertise in building good reliable relationships will be paramount.
- Must have strong negotiation skills to get cost effective and high-quality sourcing.
- An eye for detail is necessary when you will be required to analyse market trends, forecast demand, and mitigate risk to optimize the buying process.
- By leveraging your knowledge of supply chain management and your ability to identify opportunities for improvement, you will contribute to the overall success of the organisation buying operations.
Overview:
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
- Have a negotiation strategy to close deals and optimise terms.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes and ensure the best deals.
- Perform cost analysis for benchmarking.
- Identify good reliable partners.
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Monitor and forecast promotional demand.
Attributes:
- Must have minimum 5 years in a Buying role at a senior level.
- Must have good knowledge of the World Food Supplier base.
- Good knowledge of Supply Processes.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Ability to gather and analyse data and to work figures.
- Must be able to manage your P&L tracker.
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to network and negotiate both internally and externally
