Working within the purchasing team this role is to support the supply chain process for our client’s fruit range.

Duties to include:

• Booking in consignments arriving in the UK from overseas.
• Track and monitor each consignment and their estimated arrival times on both vessels and lorries during transit.
• Managing paperwork and processing invoices for each consignment
• Updating of quality control reports once produced received and communication rejection reports to suppliers.
• Liaising with internal customs clearance provider on update of product arrival.
• Record keeping of claim logs and rolling stock sheets for all fruit.

• To attain the principal duties the candidate will have excellent communication, analytical, IT and liaison skills.
• The candidate will be a confident team player, who is capable of briefing colleagues, disseminating information and prioritising multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
• You will be confident, reliable, self-motivated and flexible. Flexibility will be important due to the range of duties and the requirement to work reasonable additional hours when required.
• The ideal candidate would be educated to a minimum of A level standard and fluent in a second language.
• Experience in a working buying environment would also be desirable.
