West Midlands Account Manager Permanent West Midlands £30000 - £32000 per annum + Bonus and Car

Our client is a family-owned regional wholesaler, supplying customers in the Midlands, Oxfordshire and South West with a complete range of frozen, chilled, and ambient foods together with fresh meat, fresh fish and non-foods. They are now looking to expand the team and would like to appoint a:

West Midlands Account Manager.

Overview: Fully manage the assigned area to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration by building solid customer relationships to sell the Company’s products and services.

The ideal candidate will come from a similar background and already have experience in account management within the food service/end user sector. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!

The Role:

  • Within the framework secure, develop and retain strong business relationships with existing key customers along with generating a pipeline of prospective accounts in the assigned area.
  • Use all resources for searching and developing your prospective pipeline of potential new accounts.
  • Manage and resolve customer problems and complaints to ensure the continued improvement of our service.
  • Manage all administrative requirements Webfleet Trip report, expenses, daily call reports) in line with company procedures and deadlines.
  • Communicate with management relevant customer needs, problems, competitor activities, advertising, promotional trends, market conditions & product developments. Share or offer forecasting on new products and services, using the appropriate resources i.e., social media.
  • Develop and maintain an in depth and detailed knowledge of the core product range. Consistently gain an awareness of other product lines to increase margin enhancement & establish credibility with customers and increase sales.

  • Evidence of experience in a demanding customer services role
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full and clean UK driving licence
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience within the Hospitality Industry or FMCG market
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel and outlook)
  • Evidence of consistently achieving and exceeding targets

Other:

✓ Base salary £32k (doe) plus monthly bonus and company car

✓ OTE approx. £38k
