Inventory Controller Permanent Harlow, Essex £27000 - £30000 per annum

Our client is one of the most highly regarded and successful distributors of consumable products and over the last 5 years have gone through unprecedented growth here in the UK and Europe and are now looking to appoint an Inventory controller.

The Inventory Controller will be responsible for improving and maintaining the accuracy of inventory on our systems. Identify solutions and support the implementation of new/changes to procedures to improve the visibility of inventory across the supply chain. Liaising closely with Buyers, Finance, Warehouse, and Sales teams.

* Improve processes and controls related to inventory flow across the supply chain with the view to enhance the accuracy and visibility of inventory in our systems.

* Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, reacting and escalating where appropriate.

* Monitor and update stakeholders on the status of deliveries and transfers from suppliers and external warehouses.

* Ensure all receipts have been booked in on a daily basis and backed up with the correct supporting documentation

* Perform periodic audits of goods in control processes, working closely with the Warehouse team to ensure materials are inspected, counted, and stored as required.

* Ensure all inventory transfers from the warehouse are updated accurately on the system on a daily basis, including picking done during the night shift.

* Oversee weekly and monthly stock counting processes and implement effective corrective actions where necessary.

* Update with daily consumption and update daily planning/inventory count

* Monitor shortages report and ensure daily dispatches are done on the system

* Produce daily inventory reports and share them with relevant stakeholders.

Attributes:

* Have thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures

* Working knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management systems) essential

* Experience working in an inventory or stock control position within an FMCG

* IT literacy with experience in MS Office

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with all managers across multiple departments

* Knowledge of SAP essential

* Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail

* Self-starter, proactive, and able to solve complex issues

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
