Purchasing Executive Permanent Evesham, Worcestershire £25000 - £29000 per annum
  • As a Purchasing Executive, it will be your job to initially manage the sales admin function but as you progress the trading role with our wholesale customers.
  • Sales Admin: To generate purchase and sales orders into NAV. To maintain and generate items and vendor in NAV. To organise collections and distribution of goods with our haulier.
  • Communication with finance and sales admin team in regards to customers payments and credit limits.
  • To verify depot stock levels and availability at source.
  • To plan and forecast produce quantities required to ensure sufficient stock is procured to fulfil orders and to avoid wastage.
  • To research, analyse and investigate markets and competitor pricing strategies, to negotiate and agree weekly and seasonal prices with suppliers to ensure continued profitability.
  • To establish supplier volumes through crop planning to ensure continuous supply to fulfil service level agreements.
  • To examine and assess all consignments and effectuate the claim process where required.
  • To reconcile, analyse and investigate stock movement and discrepancies to ensure correct invoicing and service levels with customers.
  • To organise, negotiate internally and with 3rd party to ensure correct quality levels on arrival, accurate delivery times, to maintain planned cost prices and continuity of supply chain and corporate level agreements.
  • Promote, develop and manage customer relationships to maintain sales, elevate growth, uphold our supplier reputation and deliver on service level agreements.

  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills both over the phone for day to day trading and face-to-face for meeting suppliers/ customers alike.
  • Be numerate.
  • Have excellent negotiation and organisational abilities.
  • Language skills would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Must be able to cope well under pressure.
  • Be computer literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of business tools (excel; word; PowerPoint; outlook)
  • Be customer focused.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Be flexible as role requires some weekend cover (on rotation within the team)
  • Demonstrate self-confidence and professionalism.
  • Able to work both in a team and lead it.
  • Be a completer/finisher with a high degree of attention to detail and maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Be mobile – car driver and able to visit markets, suppliers in the UK and globally
