My client’s principal customers include the major multiple food retailers acros the UK. they are now looking to appoint a Senior Quality Controller.
Duties:
- Ensure effective monitoring systems are in place and used so that all products packaged and dispatched meet specifications.
- Prepare samples for customers and internal bench marking.
- Feedback to stakeholders on Quality challenges, findings and non-conformity’s.
- Conduct shelf-life sampling, trace ability tests and mass balance procedures to maintain quality level inspections. Regularly update the wider team on product quality and challenges and steps required for improvements.
- Assisting the management of the QA team ensuring compliance to procedures, ways of working and improvements to standards.
- To ensure effective and regular communication with key stakeholders across all departments on matters concerning the quality of the product.
- Liaising closely with Operations in the fields to consultant on Customer specifications and to drive continual improvements – the role requires a full understanding of crop production and challenges.
- Review, audit and implement appropriate procedures, processes, scheduled monitoring and auditing activities to ensure compliance system is market leading in association, and as directed by, the Technical team.
- Customer & Corporate Responsibility Research and complete relevant customer quality trackers using concise accurate information in association with Technical and QA team.
- Take ownership and lead on announced and unannounced customer visits and audits for the Site.
- Drive and champion an audit ready state across the site whilst ensuring all quality and food safety standards are being met.
