Pure staff are looking for 10 experienced Class 1 drivers to work alongside one of our client’s in the Banbury area.

Pure Staff are currently looking for enthusiastic & experienced HGV C+E drivers to join our team of flexible employees to work with this specific client.
Our client is a large (well-known) Branded retail outlet.
They currently require ongoing C+E to work with their current team.
The job itself will consist of cross 2 to 5 drop store distribution with H/ball of caged and palletised goods High street and underground car park distribution using a tail lift and pump truck.
Distribution is completed in an Articulated lorry normally you will be in a DAF. MAN or Merc tractor unit with solid sided body and tail lift
The client will provide assessments to help you get settled into the job and ensure that all health and safety requirements are met onsite, the assessment is not paid but will ensure you an ongoing position with a blue-chip organisation.
Our clients are looking for a candidate that can not only drive C+E Articulated lorry successfully but that can communicate well to ensure that all deliveries / collections / trailer swaps are completed.
There is a stop call wait procedure to maximise on productivity and keep drivers informed on possible delays or route changes.
This can be a customer facing role so the perfect candidate will be of smart appearance with a polite nature, you will need to show willingness to give that little extra to ensure our clients stores personnel have the best experience interaction with the driver as possible.
Start times can vary but normally between 05:00am and 10:00am Shifts can be long hours but in keeping with tachograph law up to 10 to 12 hr per shift on average. Monday to Friday operation
You will require;
- HGV C+E Driving licence
- 1 year experience min required for insurance purposes
- CPC Card
- Digital card
- Clean Licence preferred with no more than 6 points (no TT TS MS DR DD) codes
Pay;
Days £16 per hour / £22per hour Monday to Friday
Higher Pay rate will increase from the 31st of October to £22 per hour for the Christmas period
Additionally, to the pay you will accrue Holiday pay payable with 7 days’ notice of booked holiday & you will be enrolled after 3 months into a pension.
