Warehouse Operative – Wolverhampton
Location: Fordhouses, Wolverhampton
Working Hours: 1800 – 0300 (6pm-3am) or 2100 – 0600 (9pm-6am) night shift (we ask everyone that applies to be flexible for either shift)
Salary: £13.71 per hour + holiday pay
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Full-Time, Ongoing
We have an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative to join a well-established business specialising in kitchens, bathrooms, and white goods. This is a hands-on role within a busy warehouse environment, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in keeping things organised and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading deliveries including kitchen units, bathroom products, and white goods
- Moving stock safely around the warehouse using correct manual handling techniques
- Picking, preparing, and organising goods ready for dispatch
- Supporting goods-in and checking deliveries for accuracy and damage
- Assisting with stock control and keeping records updated on the computer system
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times
- Working closely with other departments to ensure orders are completed on time
- Always following all health and safety procedures and site rules
Essential Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience essential (especially with heavy or bulky items)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work to deadlines
- Good attention to detail when checking goods and preparing orders
- Must be computer literate and confident using warehouse systems
- Positive attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible approach and willing to support other departments when required
