Laser Setter/Operator – Kitts Green, Birmingham

Working Hours: 07:00 – 15:30 Monday to Thursday | 07:00 – 13:00 Friday
Salary: £14.00 per hour + holiday pay
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Full-Time, Ongoing

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and reliable Laser Setter/Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Kitts Green, Birmingham. This is a hands-on role within a busy production environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work and operating CNC laser cutting machinery to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up, programming and operating CNC laser cutting machines

• Cutting metal materials to technical drawings and specifications

• Adjusting machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality

• Carrying out quality checks and inspections on finished products

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Working to tight tolerances and production deadlines

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times

• Following all health and safety procedures and site rules

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Laser Setter/Operator using a Bystronic Laser Cutter

• Experience operating CNC laser cutting machinery

• Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work to deadlines

• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
