Help Dave on his fundraising adventure for QEHB Charity!

Arriving at the QE Hospital, a grey and foggy start meant that an outdoor photo opportunity was never on the cards. But just inside the main entrance we were greeted by the most gigantic, sparkly Christmas tree which was enough to brighten up the dullest of days.

Dave Whitehouse, Director at Pure Staff Ltd and myself met up with Laura from the QEHB Charity at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham; our aim to show our support and raise awareness through social media for this important charity which, thanks to generous donations are able to provide much needed research, facilities and equipment that is above and beyond what is provided as standard by the NHS.

Without doubt, the staff and facilities available in ITU at the QE have saved the lives of two of the most important people in Dave’s life; his mother who suffered an aneurism earlier this year, and his grandmother who had a massive stroke just a few weeks ago. For both, life will never be the same but with the help of the QE Hospital staff and amazing charities such as the QEHB Charity they are still fighting and making small steps of recovery!

Dave will be pushing himself to the limit with various events throughout the New Year, including a 140km Velo Cycle in Wales in July, a 100 mile Velo Cycle in Birmingham in September, and a charity 5-a-side football event in April… with many more to be confirmed!

I’m sure everyone at Pure Staff as well as all of his family and friends will get behind Dave on his mission to raise considerable funds for the charity!

All the best on your ‘super-human’ venture!!
